This is a blog dedicated to the craft and joy and fun of writing haikus. I love them. As often as once a day, I’ll offer a freshly minted haiku for your pleasure. The haikus will be fun, humorous, sad, insightful, biting and all manner of human emotion. They will also all be 3 lines of 5, 7 and then again 5 syllables.

I offer haikus in the tradition of Kobayashi Issa. A humanistic approach to poetry and life. Meant to lift up the human spirit. Bringing out the best in us, uplifting the human condition.

EDIT: On 22 February 2012 I have decided to add my free form poems as well. Just in case you were wondering why there is not a haiku as often as once a day. There will be mostly haikus I imagine, but sometimes my mind wanders and natters and chatters in many syllables.
