licking flames
earth coughs up fireball.
sky choking on yellow flames.
yet angels don’t weep.
star stuck
as the heavens turn
and the devil sleeps quietly
i dance under stars.
stye in eye
the heavy eyelids
coated with coarse ugly sand.
tearing corneas.
starving for choice
on the one hand
is a fruit most bitter.
on the other nothing.
soggy solutions
the thundering rain.
drenched in opportunities.
paper towel in hand.
