why so shy bright day?
nox at the door lux dies dies.
stretch and awaken.

runny yolk of sun
dip your yellow face in ink.
thick is well of night.

smooth as boiled eggs.
peeling the shell from the flesh.
murdered dead fetus.

the sun kills the moon.
new bloody round fought each day.
battered moon’s white face.

day turns into night.
sun frowns low on horizon.
will night ever end.
