green of tooth and paw.

the rabbit is white
when the snow is crusty gray.
what’s in rabbit’s prayers.

clinging to my life
mother nature offers hope.
mother’s medicine.

when winter stays long
the heart aches for the hot sun.
and feelings get burnt.

like a barber pole
the cat’s tail speaks many tongues.
none i understand.

the partridge running
robbed of the safety of flight.
