time is a carriage
rusting through dreary, slow space.
watching wheels fall off.

who has the answers?
rather, what are the questions?
what is not knowing?

we the invisible.
the walking unseen not dead.
yet slowly dying.

what is the future?
is it full of potential?
multitude of hope.

the engines are cold.
the new year won’t turn over.
the soul is dragging.

break the new year’s plate.
scare the ghosts of christmas past.
sacrifice the now.
