weak knees

8 December 2012 by Jason

i snatch flowers from the garden.
yank you from your rooted feet.
chop your stringy legs from your spine.

your blood seeps green.

i drown you in a cylinder of water
and like an ogre i watch you die.

your pretty fragile heads
your rainbow of colored hair
droops low as the days go by.

death takes you slow but steady.
i slaughter you for some fragrant
color on my dead treed table.

your legs buckle but i am always weak in the knees.

the smiles and the soft kind words
that warm on dark nights.

On Poetry

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.
