a yawn for wisdom.
inhale the thoughts of others
trapped in small atoms.
Haikus
shrugging for nothing
upon my shoulders
boulders keep piling higher.
shrugging doesn’t help.
three sheets
the crumpled body
lying like unlaundered sheets.
stiff with too much starch.
loose living
time slipping away
mercurial man in my hand.
hold to it looser.
hard yards
the stiff pistons pound
battering flesh onto pavement.
the miles getting hard.
imbibing elixirs
along the boardwalk
the sun invigorates us.
old men young again.
